Can go to any company go to media and you"ll see them there. Often, to write a news release you need to get information. Information interview: how do you spell your name? (always going to ask this question, strictly to get information/answers (no performance/entertainment, get the person you"re interviewing to feel comfortable. What"s your job title?": make it seem like you"re in a coffee shop. Need to know what the topic is going to be, what the questions are going to be, so they can be rehearsed. But, with that there"s the chance to be very artificial. Want the performance interviews (for example) to seem natural. But going to do information interviews more often. Want to do it in a way that"s less obvious. But, still take notes but don"t make it too obvious: just talk for a while before you start taking notes.
