Skim day 2: being different beings: opening out. Deconstructed doesn"t mean analyzing it means pulling things apart linguistically. But what if you don"t feel like you are. False dilemma: this or that? (ender"s game=us vs them; skim=male or female) Our paradigms have been too small to communicate fully; take in everything that kids do. Post-modernity problem: looks out and in at same time much more complex in past saying. World is a problem, now there are multiple worlds. First world, third world division becomes especially evident when something like ebola happens. Common cause: radically different groups that come together to solve issue or concern. Thinking back to the other others from semester skim is very other maybe gay, minority: Asian, female, gothic, not stereotypically beautiful (what is commercially) Or is she trying to be more like the others white, blonde like. This convo started in the 80"s and still is going on today.
