Arteriolosclerosis (two main types: hyaline and hyperplastic; often associated with hypertension) arteriolar, thickened walls; small muscular arteries and arterioles. Atherosclerosis involves medium and large vessels; hardening and deposition of fat in walls. Affects large and medium-sized arteries, therefore a systemic disease (involves both muscular and elastic arteries; affects all over the body)
