Major depressive disorder (mdd) (unipolar depression: characterized by: And/or a loss of interest and pleasure in nearly all activities: often associated with: Changes in appetite; sleep disturbances; decreased psychomotor activity; decreased energy and feelings of worthlessness; difficulty concentration & making decisions; thoughts of death: up to 15% of these persons with this form of depression will die by suicide.
