Sexual assault became defined as any non consensual sexual act by either a male or female person to either a male or female person, regardless of the relationship between the people involved. Sexual assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm (max 14 years) 1 in every 4 women and 1 in every six men have experienced some type of sexual assault. Women face the greatest risk of sexual assault from men they know, not from strangers. About half of all rapes occur in dating relationships. In about 80% of cases, victims of sexual assault know the attacker. Women who are raped ask for it . Women frequently lie about being sexually assaulted. Engages in a variety of sexual acts to degrade the victim. Phase i: acute crisis phase denial, shock and disbelief guilt, hostility, and self-blame fear. Fear of being left alone or a fear of leaving the house sexual problems changes in lifestyle.
