Self-awareness leads to self-evaluation: become aware of internal self standards (i. e. the ideal self, compare current behavior to standards: Either: shaping up, reduce discrepancy between actual-ideal self (try to meet the ideal standards) matching to standards , the shock study (males shock females in presence/absence of a mirror).
