It is difficult to do the same type of observations/obtain information from children than it is from adults. Sexual play in children is common, if not normative (definitely in boys, 1/3 in girls) Kinsey interviewed young boys and girls (4-14yr) average age 10. Kinsey never actually assaulted children, he was not a child molester. Says that children are seen as sexless beings, who should suppress all sexual ideas/actions, but then when they become adults they should spontaneously become sexual.
