Women"s imposed secondariness implies an object-like status. When seen as objects, they are easily ignored. Subordination means that things can be done to her . Sexual objectification is the primary process of the subjection of women. Keeping women on a pedestal is a denial of the general deviance of femaleness: thinking someone is perfect takes away their humanity. If someone can"t sneeze and fart then they aren"t human.
