Inequality base on race and ethnicity is an issue related to multiculturalism. The words race and ethnicity are often used interchangeably. Race: a social distinction based on perceived physical or biological differences such as hair texture, eye colour and nose shape. Ethnicity: rooted in culture differences such as language, religion, and the shared history among people in a group. Essentialism argues that some "essential" or inherit element makes a person part of a specific race or ethnic group.
