Canada is built on resource extraction - logging etc. Fishing in the east coast, animal pelts etc. to an extent of our proper stewardship - if you fish too much you lose your lively hood. Urbanization and modern life - rural to urban life, urban life means a renegotiation of our environment - once you live in a city it"s a totally different infrastructure - completely human made environment vs the country side. The car: over reliance on individual car ownership and use - roadways and gas stations - debate of moving to electric cars - need a different infrastructure - need charging stations.
