Primary industry work: mining, fishing, logging, and agriculture, the way people used to work in this primary industry changed by four key factors, primary industries have been altered by 4 key trends, mechanization / technology: Related to idea of technology- we have evolved in how we do agriculture, mining, fishing- reliance on technology. The use of technology significantly altering the way we do work in this area. Shortened the amount of time it took for these tasks to be done (cid:0) as a result it increased production significantly. Also reduced the amount of physical manual labor (cid:0) so reduced the amount of people we need. What used to take lots of time is taking less time, requiring less workers and work itself is less strenuous. Decline in people employed in the agricultural industry over time. Used to see a lot of small farms producing for themselves and community over the last 50 years we see a consolidation.
