Never used to be a real transition between childhood and adulthood. Encouraging children to purse studies after age 16. Took pressure off children to contribute to family income, resulting in more leisure time for young people. Individuals are more attached to their parents than ever before. Also happens because people are having less children. More young adults are living with their parents than ever before.
