In america children felt they had two moms and two dads (step mom and step dad were equally important) Not the best method to do research and is problematic because these two types of families aren"t comparable and are different (ex. Observations can be prejudicial because they assume that the intact family is the best family to be assuming that there is something wrong with the reconstituted family. A reconstituted family can be way more valuable in other situations. Easier to find a partner if you don"t have children. Children may be traumatized from the experience of divorce. Reconstituted family mom widowed w/ 3 girls and dad is widowed w/ 3 boys. Used to be divorced but got rid of the partners. At the end of the show everything ended nicely. Have a bad reputation from the beginning. The mother is more hands on with the children.
