Document Summary
Review of last week: challenge is good, question formation, google that shit, wheel of science, deductive vs inductive reasoning. Question does not allow you to know what it is asking self-limiting. How can we know it: question of methodology, can we use this tool to know what we want to know, objectivity - properties of the object being studied, example: the pen is blue. Scientific because it is about the thing itself. How do we know when we know something: conceptions of truth. Standards that we would use to assess someone"s statement as to whether or not it is true. Correspondence - when a set of statements corresponds to a set of statements that they are making statements about, it is true: example: google that shit If the statement that a knower is cohere (makes sense logically), it is true: metaphysical + theological forms of knowledge, example: cogito ergo sum = i think therefore i am (descartes)
