It would be interesting to add podcasts to the study. Look through movies that have homicide as the theme. Look at the difference between actual crimes that happen. If a woman dies by homicide its most likely done by a man. We include impression management and stigma as part of our talk in deviance because there is interplay between the label and the person and how we start treating them differently. What they have going on in their own life; understanding the social aspect. Idea that we are acting out our life, we are engaging in this performance. We are looking at how society wants us to be and what we are supposed to do. We are doing this with some consciousness. We decide to a certain extent what we want people to see about us, we decide how we present ourselves to the world. We can choose to keep parts of ourselves private.
