Girls do engage in illegal behaviors, however they rarely develop crime specialies. Girls are reporing lower, not higher, rates of the use of aggression and violence in recent years. Males are being accused and charges of more crimes than females. Youth take up roughly 13% of total cases: 10 percent boys 3 percent girls. Crimes commited more by girls: minor crimes against person, thet, administraive ofenses. Female youth are admited to correcional services at a much smaller rate rather than male youth.
