Document Summary
You can develop multiple hypothesis from a research question. Think about it as moving through a funnel: research is broad and hypothesis are more narrow. It"s diffi(cid:272)ult to (cid:373)ake the resear(cid:272)h desig(cid:374) (cid:373)at(cid:272)h, (cid:271)ut all the pie(cid:272)es (cid:374)eed to fit. Research question: what are the effects of after-school programs on how well children get along with one another. The hypothesis fills in the blanks, specific enough and has a variable in mind. Have potential to make a contribution to knowledge on the topic. A lot of these are really (cid:272)ontroversial and aren"t very resear(cid:272)ha(cid:271)le. A lot of them are not specific enough. You would need to ask what exactly we mean by violent how would we go about collecting the data.
