Gendered violence is verbal, physical, emotional, mental, economic, or visual brutality that is in icted disproportionately by one gender, and most often against the other genders ! Verbal > you devalue them, yell at them or make fun of them! Physical > hitting, shoving, punching someone, includes sexual assault and death ! Emotional/mental > constant criticism of someones self esteem or body image, emotions, intimidation (intimidate someone), threaten to hurt their children perhaps, or pets, threaten to leave, so if they leave they"ll kill themselves and threaten to hurt yourself ! Isolation > forbid someone to have contact with family members, friends, colleagues, or forbid to work, so the abuser makes you dependent on them ! Prolonged violence can cause depression, lower self esteem, effects their emotions, relationships with other people, it really distorts their sense of self and reality !
