Thinking about: freedom, choice, self, gender, politics, relationships, How do we understand narratives - institutional ideas that govern our lives. These are not just feminist questions but things foucault was also interested in. It didn"t seem that foucault has a fixed view of enlightenment per say but it was thought of as an ethos. Rational productions of knowledge using measurements - using these claims to protect privilege and mark off spaces for men and whites. Feminist scholars take issues with this enlightenment project and are suggesting that foucault saw it differently and that reflexivity is part of that.
