Importance of fit putting the right person in the right job, group or organization: diversity is important because you get more perceptions and better decisions can be made. The military: rules are clearly defined, strong behavioural norms, high predictability, your own personality has little impact in strong situations. A study of small business failures found that owners generally cited factors such as economic depression or strong competition as causes.
