Choose one of the 3 based on environment. Obtained the needed resources? Can include: organizational culture, teamwork, horizontal and vertical communication. How well the organization has attained their output goals. Can include: profit, growth, market share, roi, social responsibility. When you run a company, focus on the shareholder is important. You can pick more than just one contingency approach. The competing values framework emerged from a series of empirical studies on the notion of organizational effectiveness (quinn & rohrbaugh, 1983). These efforts were an attempt to make sense of effectiveness criteria. Quinn and rohrbaugh (1983) discovered two dimensions of effectiveness.
