Goal approach: concerned with output side and whether organizational reaches its goals. Resource based approach: concerned with the resource inputs and beginning process. Internal process approach: looks at internal activities and assesses effectiveness there. Organizations must be successful in obtaining and managing valued resources in order to be effective. Ability for organization to obtain scarce and valued resources and successfully manage them.
