Why the decline: law enforcement is beter at catching criminals, tough of crime, violent crime, more generally, has been on the decline, media doesn"t focus on it anymore in detail, anonymity. Industrializaion and how we interact with one another. Our interacions are more leeing and less personal. Being mobile all the ime, people are less aware of another"s whereabouts.
