Migrant(refuge: refugee-they have to cross the board, idp- internally displaced people- get displaced from their homes and get stuck in their own countries. Unhcr- united nations high commissions of refugees- to protect refugees in their country or in another country. Government sponsors refugees- they have already been selected as refugee camp, they come into canada as permanent refugee, will pay for them for a year to get them integrated into the community. While they are waiting for their hearing they can be put into jail. Obama"s dream act- children can go to school and don"t know that their parents are undocumented. Till they hit grade 12 and they have to pay for university out of pocket: sometimes they are deported in mexico- unborn dreamers. Purpose: examine human migration from the perspective of both the region of origin. They call the trains the beast (la bestia: a lot of these migrants are children.
