Founded the montgomery bus boycott: a protest against segregation by race (common in the south) Racial segregation was a fundamental cause of boycott. Rosa parks: refused to give up seat violated segregation law so she was arrested. King lead the bus boycott as a result of this. The court found the segregation laws to be unconstitutional causing more protests. This lead ki(cid:374)g"s (cid:374)a(cid:373)e to (cid:271)e (cid:373)ore (cid:449)ell known as he made a difference. He was put in prison for 2 weeks.
