Another group of people were asked and this time were asked about the details of the crash; again most people confidently gave details about what they saw in the film that never actually existed. As a person adds more and more links between one episode and another, these episodes gradually get interwoven together. As a result, you may lose track of the boundary between the one episode and the other; you may lose track about which information comes from which event. This leads to transplant errors, in which information encountered in one context is transplanted into another. Intrusion errors: errors in which other knowledge intrudes into the remembered event. The drm procedure is another experiment that illustrates memory errors. Bed, blanket, rest, snooze, drowsy, bed, tired, etc. all have to do with sleep, except sleep isn"t one of the words on the list; a participant will likely say sleep was one of the words.
