E. g sex, education, annual income, marital status etc. Six research methods: surveys - consist of closed-ended questions and open-ended questions (quantitative research) Random sample: then you can generalize statistically back to the population. Statistics canada - a reliable source on gathered info. Canadian census - short and long term form census. Randomly selected households get a long term census form (36 pages long questionnaire) the remainder will receive the short version (10 questions)
