Adms 1010, exploring the functions of business november 05, 2018. Incentives are anything that has the power to motivate or encourage one to do something. To relate this idea in more of an organizational of business setting, an incentive for employees may be a increased pay, bonus, promotion, or anything that may benefit them in any way. Herzberg in his article talks about physical kita, he says that although this is useful it has major drawbacks, as its inelegant, contradicts image of benevolence, and since it is a physical attack it can often have negative feedback. There is also psychological kita, which he says has major advantages when compared to physical kita. Since cruelty is internal, it is not visible, so it can"t really affect an organizations status, can be more effective, and provide an ego satisfaction for the one using it.
