What causes them to change: belief systems and world views. World views: an encompassing picture of reality based on shared cultural assumptions about how the works. We can think of metaphors, rituals, stories music and myths as symbolic actions, activities that dramatically depict the world views shared by a specific group of people: metaphors. Metaphors are a crucial component of human existence: rituals. Ritual: a dramatic rendering of meanings shared by a specific group of people in a way that makes those meanings seem correct. A ritual not only depicts a metaphor but teaches participants how to experience the world as if the forces, gods and spirits were truly real: witchcraft and magic. How are tarot cards an example of metaphors in witchcraft: the formation of worldviews. The organization of our social, economic and political lives influences what we believe and vice versa. 1: colonialism, christianity, and the transformation of worldviews.
