P- precipitating & palliating factors: precipitating factors- what makes it works, what drugs cause problem & mechanisms of reactions, bacterial infection, viral infection. Immunologic: chemical or irritative, dermatologic conditions, systemic diseases, lacrimal system infections, palliating factors- what makes it better. Q- quality, quality: quality (description & name, quantity. R- region & radiation: region of involvement & distribution, eyes & eyelids. S- severity, symptoms: severity, severity varies depending on if its viral, bacterial or allergic infections, symptoms associated: itching redness, discharge. T- time, time patterns: time of episode onset & duration, time pattern: hyperacute, acute or chronic. Antibiotics reduce duration & decrease complications, recurrences & spread b/t people. If eyelids are closed, use warm compress to open. Properly wash hands to avoid transmission of infection.
