Portrayal of female criminality as being nasty, mean, bad or unruly, if men are the ones committing the crimes those terms are not used to describe them. Having careers that are more similar to men, becoming as violent as men in order to commit crime, have the same opportunities to commit crime. The evidence: profiles of female offending: increasing rates of criminal behavior on the part of girls and women and narrowing of the (cid:862)ge(cid:374)der gap(cid:863) Ho(cid:449)e(cid:448)er : majority of female crimes are non-violent. Most female crimes are property offenses, theft under , drug possession, wealth fraud as well as minor forms of assault (common assault).
