What do you see and hear?
The Shining
1. The introduction song foreshadows the mood of the movie, a
trumpet always portrays death, so the sound seems tragic.
2. Different beautiful scenes of nature
3. The aera pae goes faster durig the itrodutio/has a ird’s
eye view
4. The high-pitched sound (shrieking-disruptive), sounds like police
sirens which portrays danger.
5. (tracking shot) The camera is following the action, so it feels as if
your moving alog with it sie you do’t really kow where you
are going it creates this kind of suspense. (creepiness)
6. car is small in the track shot where nature is shown. The car
portrays the small people and that nature is bigger than us.
7. The color of the car facilitates
8. Starts with a tracking shot and then suddenly movies to an ariel
shot which creates an uneasy and unsettling feeling
9. Since the car is driving on the hill and the fact that its too close to
the edge at times causes anxiousness to surface since the feeling
that the car could fall off any second.
10. The shot was taken during the day but the image seems kind
of dark but the glare comes out of no where. Its linked somehow
to the title of the ook where the shiig desries that
particular image.
11. The camera circles around and then approaches the hotel in
a shaky way. Which gives you the chills.
12. the length of the sequens (3 minutes) highlights the distance
13. Overlook-hotels name= overlook what you hear in the hotel/
overlook(looking from above)/ the hotel itself has the a
personality or a sense of alivnes and has the ability to look things
over/ you car see anything from the windows on the outside but
you can see everything from inside to the outside.
