He undertook to restore the senatorial prestige by granting the senators full authority to make decisions. But: early in his reign, caligula forced tiberius gemellus to suicide; executed some of gemellus" supporters. By 38, he killed off tiberius gemellus and the praetorian prefect marco: caligula"s principate: outline. Married that year (for the first time): ad 39 claimed to have discovered a plot against him.
