A natural woman is seen as being passive, loving, physical weaker than men, capable of being more emotional and empathetic then men, and has a mystical bond with her children (something that men cannot understand) These feminine characteristics are stereotypical but powerful throughout times and societies. Men and women have severed essential traits to their being: simple biology. These roles are not biologically based, but rather are socially constructed. A moment in history when these gender roles are highlighted and turned up-side-down (when women murder their children) Both murdered their children, but society views them differently.
