The continuing legacy of racism which emerged in slavery. Legacy of colonialism, in terms of the structure of the economy, all play a significant role in human rights issues and concerns. We must first look back at what these things are. Look at the kind of real world historical circumstances. It is not something that in our modern society, a social media oriented society, we don"t tend to pause very much. We will try to disprove that notion through these discussions, by simply pointing to real historical linkages between what we are talking about and what is going on in current day. Imperialism is a more broader term, especially in the modern context. Imperialism: broad definitionthis matters because, for instance, the us is often described as an imperial power, and in the past, a colonial power. There is a colonial legacy, in areas like the caribbean, where colonies were taken by hte.
