Talked the back story of jason and medea. Medea often depicted as a greek woman, powerful witches, access to enchantment, drugs, not always force for evil. She commits a shocking crime in all of greek tragedy. She is in terms of jason, she"s a helper figure so she is like a wise person, who give prophecies, omens. She is if anything like the witch circe, woman that enchants odysseus turns his companions into animals, sends odysseus down in the underworld, helps him overcome all obstacles. Circe played that dangerous yet helpful female role. Medea is related to circe, she is medea"s aunt. Circe"s father and medea"s grandfather is the sun god helios. We see her as supporting character, nurses feel sympathetic about her. We also see her as a victim of the powerful forces of aros, grip of paralyzing passion.
