Antigone faces a tragedy and she makes some choices. Antigone loses her life for the principles she has. Second tragedy here, is the tragedy of creon. Creon goes from confident triumph, a tyrant of thebes, he has repelled the attack of polynices, from the place of confident we see him coming tumbling down. Antigone rises up and presents us with a real impact of suffering, and the last end of the play, she sort of fades away. And we turn to a more conventional, topic for greek tragedy for a man who had mistakes and suffered through those decisions. Antigone- female defiance, heroic resistance, badly behaved young girl who doesn"t listen to her male guardian, doesn"t follow the rule of thebes. Athenian would have thought of this defiant young woman. She"s following her principles which are aligned with her family, with the gods.
