Different set of the muscle fibers within the same muscle group. Each axon splits up at terminal & synapse multiple muscle fibers. Motor unit: single motor neuron + extrafusal muscle fibers that a motor neuron innervates. 3 (extrafusal) muscle fibers ~ 1000 (extrafusal) muscle fibers. Some of them depend on the size of the muscle group.
