Let"s recap, aerobic system is driven by free adpf and the free adpf is made in the cytoplasm it comes in from the adenine nucleotide translocase and free adpf comes here to the atp synthase. Where it is going to be converted to atp in the presence of phosphate when 2 protons come flowing back through the atpace channel. So for every 2 protons coming back through you make. 1 atp molecule as long as there is free adpf available. So as soon as the adpf is there the channel opens and 2 hydrogens come through and that is the kinetic energy use to make that bond. They come from the build of hydrogen ion gradient or proton gradient. Those protons got there because the electrons flow from protein complex to protein complex. So as the electrons move, that movement is coupled to proton pumping.
