The apical surface is the top surface of the epithelial layer that is being examined. The basement membrane is the bottom section of it, the lowest layer that connects it to the connective tissue below. Connective tissue: mesenchyme tissue is the earliest form of connective tissue, and all connective tissues stem from it. If you make most of the connective tissue out of adipose cells, then the area becomes known as adipose tissue: an area of adipose tissue is the female breast. If we make the bre mostly reticular, then we get reticular tissue. Serous membranes are simple squamous layers that provide lubrication to stop friction between the lung and inside of the thoracic cavity. September 13th: synovial membranes are found in free moving joints. A brous capsule goes around the joint to give it strength. Inside the capsule there is a synovial membrane that provides uid that lubricates it.
