Marx:
there is a certain economic arrangement in capitalism, once its removed
from the worker, it is a way of slavery
the more productive the worker, the poorer quality of worker
ppl working lots of hours for low wage,
idea of wage labour-someone paying for your time
when I buy the work of you, we engage in capitalism
I can sell the kazak and make more money
they don’t get to keep what they produce but keep the paycheck.
workers end up getting very little, more successful=less value
in a liberal economic society, people are fine by working in the weekend,
paycheck=free time in weekend, they allow people to do sth in the weekend
basics aren’t stimulating personal growth and development
life is measured by hedonistic experiences not creativity
employer owns my creativity.
being human has a impt universal side
capitalism takes away our objectification, real and material existence from
us
increasing wage makes you a better slave, you’re forced to give up your
freedom, still locked to the paycheck
fixing social problems by increasing wages and inflation, Marx provide an
explanation why this is not a remedy. You don’t expect basic facilities to be
tied to your income and paycheck. Healthcare is quite dependent on each
other in the society, if others sick you become sick as well.
