Mackie believes we all have instilled values and we will do the action of the value because we are motivated to do so. Subjectivism you are in control of the moral facts. Your thoughts or behavior determines what you ought and ought not do. 1st argument: moral codes vary across times and cultures, and the moral beliefs of individuals reflect moral upbringing. 2nd argument: there"s no means of adjudicating our most deeply held moral beliefs. 3rd argument: what makes an act right / wrong cause us to act/stop from doing the thing. The fact that is going to cause pain and suffering will refrain you from doing the action. It"s not surprise t hat we are motivated to do what we ought to do and not to do depending on our feelings towards certain acts. If u see a piece of food that looks bad you"re not going to eat it rather than a piece of food that looks good.
