Argues that you have a stimulus which affects particular part of the brain(thalamus) autonomic arousal and emotions happen simultaneously. Schachter"s two factor theory: 2 things are involved: cognition. You feel psychological arousal, you are going to look at the situation to put a label on that emotion (cognitive appraisal)
