We feel a lot of social rejection when the person we love does(cid:374)"t love us (cid:271)a(cid:272)k. The nature of love is articulated through culture. Culture tells what love is like, whom they should love and when, what they should do about love. In midieval times they would only have western love like mistress. Love exists in all cultures, romantic love is cross cultural(universal) however conceptions of love may vary. Attachment theory: proposes that most people seek security from their romantic relationships(as they initially did from their parents).
