Communication excellence is seen as three spheres, each inside of the other. The core of the sphere is the knowledge base of the department of communication- the knowledge core. The middle sphere is a set of shared expectations about communication of the top communicators and the organization"s senior managers. These shared expectations make links between the department of communication and the powerful people running the organization and making strategic links. One link is communication excellence"s demand from senior management. A second link is delivering this excellence from the comm.
