Document Summary

If i can look at you and feel what you are feeling, i can learn from you, love you, etc. We may have special circuitry in our brains that helps us whenever we look at each other. Why do we completely lose it at the movies, watching a dance, etc. A set of brain cells found on either side of the head mirror neurons . Surprising power the mechanism fundamental to the way we see others in the world. Began by accident in a lab in parma, italy, with monkeys. Then a human lab person grabbed the peanut, and the monkey neurons fired just from watching. Neurons fire when the monkey sees and does something. Monkey see, monkey do neurons mirror neurons. Brain seems to mirror the movement it sees. This is not just a monkey thing also a people thing. Humans learn by looking and copying it"s what infants do! Look at someone carrying something heavy down the street.
