ACCT 540 Lecture Notes - Lecture 12: Myplate, Junk Food, Foodie
Document Summary
With a market filled with unhealthy food options and the younger demographic seeking healthier alternatives, we believe that a viable solution can be presented. Even though more health food restaurants are popping up across the united states, they tend to be expensive and may not offer proper serving sizes. As a team, we have determined that creating a subscription based service named myplate would be a feasible solution to this problem. This service utilizes the food groups the government deems necessary for daily consumption, which are dairy, protein, fruits, vegetables, and grains. As you can see, there are five main categories, but many people view healthy eating as purely the consumption of fruits and vegetables. This is the furthest thing from the truth as nutrients from proteins, dairy, and grains are essential for living the healthiest lifestyle possible. Our concept ensures that consumers are getting all the essential nutrients required.
