Two explanations: sex role spillover: assumed work place was a neutral space, sexual harassment resulted in improper importation of male and female roles into workplace. Argument: women seen as wokers buy implicatons tha sexucality outside work is messed up: gender organizations: like rodgers, gruber, argue that sexuality and gender construct workplace just like they construct all other places live in. Means we are always doing gender and if messed up - will travel into workplace. People in workplace know temps- see low, high harassment.
