Nominal level: values of the variable name, label, or categorize. Does not allow values to be ranked or ordered. Ordinal level: allows values to be ranked or ordered. Interval level: value of a zero does not mean the absence of the quantity. Ratio level: value of zero means the absence of a quantity.
