○ Can affect our view of the world.

○ News can trigger us to remember things.
● Agenda Setting = Which story to tell
○ Media controls the info we get and what we think about
○ Government has a lot of power
● Framing = How to tell them
○ Spin on a message, which can shape our view of the news and see the good guy
as the bad guy
● Cultivation
○ Blur the line between the real world and what they see on TV
● Communication new ideas, innovates,.. Creates a change
● We can’t ignore the media, but we can view other things and educate ourselves to have
an equal view of things in the world.
